She worked as an Editor and Journalist for the Queens Courier in New York and was an English Teacher at Piedmont Middle School in Charlotte, NC.
Daisy at an early age began to travel throughout Europe, the Caribbean, South America and Hawaii. She was a great cook. Her Lasagna could not be matched, which she loved to cook at Christmas. She was a very organized, well-dressed lady. She was a Gifted Writer and a very Outspoken individual. She was also a Gifted Card Player. If you taught her a game, the next hour she would be beating you at it. The Love of Her Life was her Mother of whom she was an excellent Caretaker. She was known for her Prophetic Words. If she told you something, you just believe, it would come to past. Daisy loved the Serenity Prayer, “God grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the Courage to change the things I can and Wisdom to know the difference.”
Daisy leaves to cherish her memories: One Brother, Ezekial (Nick) Burns of Richmond, Virginia. Two Sisters, Jeanette Register of Harleysville, Pennsylvania and Pandora Burns of Jamaica, New York. Two Aunts, Josephine Solone of Brooklyn, New York and Ione Turner of Orlando, Florida and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
