Verna Searles-Smith, aka, “Ms. Bajan”, passed away in the New York., July 30, 2019, at the age of 93.

She left to mourn: One (1) sister Ernestine Lewis-Young of Grand Mal, two (2) brothers, Owen Lewis “aka” Brother Lew of Mt. Moritz and Morgan Searles in the U.S.

Nephews: Curl Searles, Coghlan Searles “aka” Cocky, Daniel Searles and Selwyn Lewis, are in Grenada; Harold Lewis, Lloyd Lewis, “aka” LaLa, and MordecaiBenNaphtale, are in the U.S, Earle Lewis, “aka” Dan Silva in Canada.

Nieces: Marilyn Catherine Lewis-James, Celia Annette Lewis, and Patsy Lewis are in the U.S., Petipha Lewis-Smith in Grenada.

Many other relatives (grand nieces and nephews) in Australia, Canada, Trinidad, the United Kingdom and United States.

Funeral service will be held at Mt. Moritz Anglican Church and interment at the

Mt. Moritz Cemetery. The body is entrusted with Otway Funeral Home.

There will be a viewing at David Williams Funeral service on Tuesday, August 13thfrom 5-7pm
