Dalaina Lenné Brown was born July 22,1985 to parents William McCleese and Robin Brown in South Jamaica Queens NY. Shortly after at the age of 4 Dalaina and her family relocated to the Bronx, New York. There she attended P.S 66 and where she would spend most of her teenage years before returning back to Queens, NY. to continue her education and later attend cosmetology school and Laguardia Community College.
She was the 3rd oldest child and leaves behind her parents Robin and William, her children Deijohn, Racine, Leah, Derrick, Olivia, Brandan and Samantha, two older brothers Deijohn and Racine as well as her younger sisters Robin, Mellissa, and Mellainy, her grandmothers Hellen Degraphenried and Doris McCleese, aunts and uncles including Michael, Michelle, David, Taryn, Adrienne, and Trevor. cousins Shanae, Nikita, Ashley, and many more nieces, nephews, friends and family.
Dalaina was loved by everyone wherever she went. She was a feisty and free spirit who loved spending time with her and children. She loved to laugh and enjoy her life even while enduring the most difficult challenges. Dalaina enjoyed having long conversations with her father and sisters daily. One of her many talents she learned from her mother was baking creative and decorative cakes. She would have a "cousins party" where she would cook, bake, and decorate the house so all of the children and her siblings can come together and have a good time. An event meant to be small, would gradually turn big. Bringing people together was just something she was good at.
Some knew her for her love of Ladybugs. Others knew her for the love of rap and freestyling and being know as "FIRE" and/or "DL Smooth". Then, there's her infatuation with balloons. Dalaina loved balloons of all kinds, it didn't matter the occasion, she needed her balloons. She would be planning parties and showers with her sisters for her sisters, kids, nieces and nephews; that's who Dalaina was to many people. She was known to be brutally honest while comforting you at the same time. Dalaina will be most missed for her laughter, ear rubbing, dancing, long conversations, cooking, and her fighting spirit. Dalaina was known to many and loved by all. She will be missed dearly. |
