Iverson “IVY” Johnson was the 3rd son born to James and Annie Johnson, in Brooklyn New York on December 19, 1951.
Ivy received his education in the N.Y.C. Public School System and was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School.
At the tender age of 16, Ivy began a lifelong career as a Security Officer (aka Retail Detective) and would threaten to make an arrest if he caught you in the wrong.
Ivy was blessed with one child, his daughter Rameen, whom he affectionately adored. Rameen adored her dad as well and proclaimed him to be “The Best Dad Ever”. Ivy had a caring and loving spirit and was well received by many.
Ivy lived life to the fullest and enjoyed dancing and listening to music. He was a fantastic gourmet chef and a die-hard Mets fan. One of his favorite pastimes was watching baseball games with his dad.
Prior to Ivy transitioning from labor to reward on October 13, 2022, he received Jesus the Christ as his Lord and Savior.
Ivy was preceded in death by his brothers Ronnie, Raliek and Kevin. He leaves to celebrate his life and cherish his memory his

Siblings- Tariq(April), Ruthie, Ozzie(Cheryl), Terry, Harold and Dorothea(Jason).

Great Grands- Ahlon Edwards Jr., Bella Edwards, Anazara Salazar
And a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
