Special Info  We are gathered here today to honor the life and memory of Dudley Esdaile, a beloved father, grandfather, friend, and respected member of his community. Dudley was born on September 4th, 1932, in Saint Andrew, Jamaica, to Mabel and James Esdaile. He had two siblings, Melvin Lawrence and Myron Esdaile. Dudley attended Brentwood All Age School, where he cultivated a love for learning and hard work that would shape the rest of his life. In 1968, Dudley migrated to the United States and settled in Connecticut with his relatives for a few years before making his way to New York City, where he permanently settled. Dudley was a man of many talents, and his professional trade included carpentry, construction, and plumbing. He worked tirelessly to provide for his family and was known for his exceptional skills and work ethic. In 1973, on October 24th, Dudley married Sadie Adaret Nalty, and they went on to have eight children together. He was a strict but loving father who always put his family first. Dudley was a sharp dresser who enjoyed spending time with his friends, gardening, and repairing bicycles. He had a contagious laugh and a heart of gold, which made him a beloved member of his community. Dudley's love for his family was unwavering, and he migrated all of his children to the United States to live with him. He was a devoted husband until April 2005 when Sadie passed away, and he continued to be a pillar of strength for his children and grandchildren. Dudley is survived by six sons, one daughter, two nieces, two nephews, 22 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, cousins, daughters in-law, and a son in-law. Dudley will be remembered for his exceptional character, unwavering dedication to his family, and his kindness to all those who knew him. His legacy will continue through his children and their descendants, who will always cherish the memories of their father, grandfather, and friend. We honor Dudley Esdaile today and will miss him dearly.
