Special Info  We are here today because our lord has called one of his beloved daughters home. She has dealt with so much these past few years and now can be free of pain and rest peacefully in heaven beside our Lord. After a long battle with cancer, she passed away in her sleep in the wee hours of June 1st, 2023. Petra Rosa Reyes was born January 31st, 1935, in Santurce, Puerto Rico. She arrived in the United States in 1962, to meet with her husband Juan Rosa Rodriguez who came here before her to find a better life for them and their children. Together they raised 8 children, 13 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. They stood together strongly and happily until her husband passed away in 1999. Petra unfortunately lost 3 of her children before their time that couldn’t be here with us today. Felix “Flaco” Rosa passed in 1989, Edwin Rosa passed away in 1994 and William “Chilli” Rosa passed away in 2017. She also was unfortunate to lose a loving grandchild at the early age of 31 years old by the name of Victor Rosa II also known as Puchito. Petra’s surviving children are Norma, Carmen, Nancy, Sonia and Victor. They will all carry her memory and legacy in their lives and hearts for eternity along with all her surviving grandchildren. Petra and her focus was always her family. She enjoyed cooking meals for everyone. Making her specialty of Bistec with Rice and beans and pasteles during the holidays. Her weekly routine wasn’t fulfilled without her dosage of the New York Yankees and her love for WWE wrestling. She looked forward to Monday Night Raw and Smackdown on Fridays every week and talked about it with anyone who would listen. She also loved her scratch offs, lottery and the casino. From her early days Petra loved her salsa music and everything about her home country of Puerto Rico. In closing there will never be a person who loved, cherished, valued and cared for her entire family like Petra did. She will forever be missed and loved by everyone that was fortunate to have their heart touched by her. Her soul is as pure as she was and will carry on through her family forever. We love you mommy, ita and will miss you more words can define… PETRA TE VEREMOS EN EL PARAISO
