Special Info  Charles Lloyd Elliott, most affectionately called Lloyd or Mr Elliott, was born on October 26th, 1946 in Kingston Jamaica, to parents Kenneth Elliott and Celeste Hall. Charles was the eldest of five children. Always a hard worker, He worked as a security guard for Shell Corporation, located at Marcus Garvey Drive for a few years before joining Air Jamaica as a mechanic engineer. Between his time working, he would assist his mother with his younger siblings. His job at Air Jamaica, gave him the opportunity to immigrate to the United States in the mid 70’s, where he was reunited with his mom and siblings. When Charles immigrated, he already had three daughters, Carlene, Tracia and Michelle. This opportunity soon allowed him to petition and bring to the states two of his daughters. The younger, would soon follow afterwards. He worked at Mays Department store as a security guard, then Long Island Jewish Hospital, before securing his passion as a mechanic engineer for John F. Kennedy airport. He would work there until his retirement in 2016. Charles was an avid fitness enthusiast, and spent a lot of time at the gym. He admired the bodybuilder Sergio Oliva so much, that he gave his first and only son the middle name, Shawn Sergio Elliott, whom he shared from his first marriage to Sonia Elliott. He suffered his first cardiac arrest in the mid 80’s. Charles would have received three triple by-pass surgeries throughout the remainder of his life. His Cardiologist would credit his being in the gym for being so strong. He would later be baptized by Bishop George Blackwood of the New Jerusalem Church of God. Charles would soon meet and marry Sharon Fisher on December 19, 2007, whom they share a daughter, and youngest of his children, Shakerah. They went on to have a blended family with Sharon’s other two children, Andre and Kari Fisher, who he always treated as his own. They marriage would remain until the passing of Sharon in April of 2023. Although very strict, He loved his children and grandchildren. Anyone who knows Charles, knows that he is not a very sociable person. He prefers to be home. He would show his love through the texts that you would get from him from time to time, or a phone call. He enjoyed watching Jimmy Swaggart and professed his belief in God. This can be seen from the reading of his bible every morning, with prayer that would follow. On July 7, 2023, he was found unresponsive in his home, where he suffered a cardiac arrest. He took the loss of his wife very hard, and somehow was unable to heal from the pain. His wish of reuniting was granted. Charles will be truly missed by everyone who knew him. He was preceded in death by his mother, sister Sonia, brother Samuel and wife Sharon. He leaves behind his five children; Carlene, Tracia, Michelle, Shawn and Shakerah. Eight grandchildren; Shane, Jabari, Tiara, Omari, Tirell, Dontay, Jamari, and Javanni. Sister Marcia, brother Phillip and a host of friends and other relatives.
