There will be a memorial service for the late Charles Douse on July 20, 2024. The service will be held at David Williams Funeral Service located at 108-20 Sutphin Blvd, Jamaica, NY 11435. The service will begin at 12pm. Please give your kind regards to the family.

Special Info  On The Day of Sunday, June 30th, 2024 God called our Beloved Charles Douse to Eternal Rest! Charles was born on Jan 8 1951, in the Bronx, NY to the late Lasalle and Willie Mae Douse. The Douse family then moved from the Bronx Ny to Fort Greene Brooklyn Ny. Charles spent the earlier part of his life growing up and attending and graduating from Boy and Girls High School! The Family later moved to Flushing Queens, where Charles worked as an interior Designer for over 25 years before retiring. Then taking a job for Securitas as a security Guard working at different locations in New York City.  Charles aka “Charlie D, was always happy to be around his family & Friends in the neighborhood. Especially when it was time to talk about the Knicks  basketball team! He would talk for hours.If you knew him, you would know he represented Forte Greene, no matter what! Always he emphasized “I’m From Forte Greene! Charles also loved visiting his daughter Lametrous in Alabama, on different Holidays. Charles family was important to him. He loved to party and be the life of the Party.  Charles along with his partner Gwendolyn Lewis, raised their daughter Lametrous Lewis.  Charles is preceded in Death by his father Lasalle Douse, his mother Willie Mae Douse. His brothers William, David, Edward, Ernest and Michael. His sisters Yvonne and Eileen.  Charles Leaves to Forever cherish his memory, his brother John and his sisters Dolores and Joyce. His daughter Lametrous Lewis & his grandkids. A host of Nephews and Nieces. Great Nephew’s and Great nieces ,cousins and lots of family members. But he also Leaves a community, that he truly loved, and will always remember him!  “Charlie D, from Forte Greene, we will miss you! “
