Special Info |
Priscilla Ivy Robinson was born on Jan 7, 1961 to the late Roosevelt Robinson Sr. and late Grace Davis Robinson. She was the youngest of 10 siblings, Edward (Helen) of NY, Issac of Florida, Robert (Colleen) of Florida, Roosevelt of NY, Brenda (John) Destephano of NY, Jerome (Patricia) of VA. She is preceded in death by 3 brothers; James, David and Roosevelt (Jim) Robinson. She was a devoted daughter, sister, aunty, cousin, friend, pastor to the United Christian Church of God Family and any person whom she encountered.
Especially devoted to her in the last season of her earthly life, even until the end, her nephew Brian Destephano, Ramone and Andrianna Newman, all whom she pastored at UCCG.
She grew up in Canarsie, Brooklyn, NY. Her parents instilled life skills to include serving God first, being good towards everyone and getting a good education. Her mother, Grace Robinson, was ordained as a missionary and ensured that her daughter was rooted and grounded from birth, to love and serve the Lord.
At an early age, she attended Plymouth Congregational Church in Brooklyn under the leadership of Pastor Holmes. Here she developed her root teachings and foundation in Christianity. Her family later on decided to change direction by the moving of God's spirit and became members of the Move of God Church, Inc. under the leadership of Pastor James I. Buntin. It was there, she discovered her love for piano. At the age of 7 years old, she was mentored and trained by the late Rose Hilton (pianist) of the Move of God Church.
She accepted the Lord Yeshua (Jesus- Latin) in her life as her personal Savior and was baptized at the age of 12. It was at Move of God Church that she was mentored to serve God under the anointing of the Holy Ghost. Her training was provided by James I Buntin, pastor and Gertude Buntin, evangelist. She also was mentored by her brothers Edward Davis, DD, and Pastor Emeritus of The Presbyterian Church of St. Albans, Queens, NYC and Roosevelt Robinson, Jr. (Music Director of the Move Of God choir). She was actively involved with the choir at the Move of God Church. Priscilla accepted the call to play worship music there. She, also, became active in visiting the sick at nursing homes at a young age. She was active in Sunday school and spent time attending weekly services, revivals and prayer meetings . It was at this church where she learned to play her traditional shouting music. Her journey continued; singing and playing at various services in churches throughout NYC, NJ, PA, Maryland and VA.
She graduated from South Shore High School in Bklyn, N.Y. in January 1979. Priscilla loved learning and believed that everyone must continually strive to excel with excellence. In 1980, she attended Pace University, majoring in Business Management achieving 89 credits. She entered the banking industry on Wall Street in NYC , 1979. In 1987, she worked at Shearson Lehman American Express today known as Citigroup. She accelerated in her career within this company achieving the position as AVP and then Vice President of Operations. Here God showed up with another divine connection where she met the Late Dr. Bishop Enoch C. Naklen and Pastor Jerusha M. Naklen. They were, also, working at this company. Someone informed Bishop Naklen that there was a lady who played piano. The church needed a pianist. Bishop Naklen invited her to the church and Priscilla accepted his invitation. In 1987, She attended the service, United Christian Church of God (UCCG), a Liberian Church of NYC and never left. Under the direction of the Holy Spirit, the Church developed, not only her musical ministry, but her ministry in the Word. God anointed her to create various praise teams within the youth department to include The UCCG Voices of Praise, UCCG Mass Choir, and Boyz to Worship. These praise teams traveled to many churches in NYC and PA on numerous occasions all for the Glory of God. Led by the Holy Spirit, the late Bishop was satisfied with her ministry and dedication, awarding her numerous plaques & certificates and later ordained her publicly as Minister of Music. From the time she joined the UCCG family, Priscilla continued her humble service as Minister of Music.
After the passing of Bishop the Late Dr Enoch C. Naklen and Pastor Jerusha Naklen, Overseer Dr. Rev Napoleon Birch from the First Baptist Church of PA, also noted her achievements at UCCG. Her work was rewarded and she was given the assistant Trustee assignment. At this time, the late Pastor Comfort Parker was ordained as Pastor and Priscilla was now under her mentorship. During this time she was very active in prayer and bible, studies humbly serving the family of God and community.
On May 22, 2015, Priscilla was called to the office of Eldership by Overseer Davon L. Felton and accepted the call on her life as Elder Priscilla I. Robinson of the United Christian Church of God Inc, witnessed by its officers and members. Until she fell asleep on November 23, 2024, she continued to carry on the work led by the Holy Spirit along with the leaders of the church, officers and members. She continued to receive mentorship from the Dr. Apostle Jerry P. Cumberbatch of Come as You Are Ministry/ Living Stones International. Father opened doors in 2019 to the last week of her earthly life, for her to minister weekly, internationally, through the Shield of Faith Broadcasting network www.sofbn.com every Wednesday at 9:00pm, hosted by Dr. Bishop Earlin and Dr. Pastor Debra Thomas in Jersey City, NJ. She was presented an honorary plaque of appreciation on Dec.10 2021 for her dedication to the work of the Lord with SoFBN.
She believed, as we all press forward to the mark of the high calling in Christ Yeshua, let us come together as One Body of Christ to worship El Shaddai (God Almighty) as one family of God and to serve humanity until Yeshua The Christ (The Anointed Savior) comes again.
