Special Info Wilfred Murrell was born on November 22, 1955, in New Hampshire, St. George Grenada, to Druscilla Lucita Murrell and Milton Hagley. He attended Constatine Methodist School, where he was known for his quiet determination and friendly spirit. Growing up in New Hampshire, those were days filled with simple joys — community spirit, strong family bonds, and the values that shaped who he became. From early on, Wilfred was known to be hardworking, kind, strong-willed, gentle, and faithful.

As a young man, Wilfred developed a reputation as a skilled tradesman in glazing, carpentry and taping. Whether in agriculture, construction, or community projects, he gave his best effort and took pride in honest work. He believed that a man's word was his bond and that family always came first.

Like many from our beautiful island, Wilfred migrated to the United States in 1977 and understood the value of hard work. He worked as a carpenter, and whatever task was placed in his hands, it was done with diligence and pride. But beyond any job title, Wilfred's greatest work was the love and care poured into family and community.

He had a warm smile, a calm presence, and a quiet sense of humor. He enjoyed spending time liming with friends and sharing stories of "how things used to be." His advice was simple but meaningful, and his life reflected humility and integrity.

Family meant everything to Wilfred. He loved his children, Janel, Darnell, Shaundel, Lema, Akayla, Francisca and Marisa. He also adored his daughters-in-law Valerie and Jacqueline; grandchildren, Ace, Aiden, Kalina, Egypt, Ezekiel, Kyle, Tyler, Michael and great grandchild Amiliana. Wilfred believed in guiding with wisdom and sometimes with a little sternness — but always with love. The

lessons taught, the advice given, and even the gentle corrections were all part of shaping generations.

Most importantly, Wilfred was a person of faith. He believed in God and trusted Him through life's ups and downs. Whether times were good or challenging, Wilfred held firmly to prayer. He found strength in scriptures and comfort in hymns. The church he attended, Mt. Paran Spiritual Baptist Church, where he became a Shepherd, was not just a building but a community of faith and fellowship.

The Bible reminds us in 2 Timothy 4:7, "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith." The road was not always easy, but it was walked with perseverance and dignity.

Today, while our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in knowing that earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal. We trust that God, in His infinite wisdom, has called His servant home.

To the children, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, and other family members, know that you are not alone. The same community that celebrated with you stands with you now. Grief is the price we pay for love, and the depth of our sorrow reflects the depth of that love.

As we say farewell, let us not only mourn the loss but honor the legacy. Let us live the lessons Wilfred taught us: To work hard. To love deeply. To forgive quickly. To trust God always. And to care for one another.

Though we lay him to rest, his influence lives on in the children, grandchildren, family traditions, and in every act of kindness done in his memory.

Today, we give God thanks for the life of Wilfred Murrell — a father, grandfather, husband, brother, and friend. He is survived by his loving wife Margaret; children Janel, Darnell, Shaundel, Lema, Akayla, Francisca, Marisa; grandchildren Ace, Aiden, Kalina, Egypt, Ezekiel, Kyle, Tyler and Michael; great grandchild Amiliana. Other family members including his parents Druscilla Lucita Murrell and Milton Hagley; his siblings Ranie, Ronald, Stephanie (Sister) and Leslie in the USA; Rachel (Rolda) and Ryan in Grenada; Jennifer, Angela and Oliver in England; his

brothers-in-law Garreth and Mitchell and sisters-in-law Carolita, Dawn, Estela, Mavis, Joylyn and Jennifer; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.

Sleep on, dear Wilfred "Chunks". Take your rest. You have run your race. You have fought the good fight. And you have kept the faith.

May your soul rest in eternal peace.

Thank you.
