The late Rosa Mae Jones funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church located at 2349 15th street Brooklyn, New York. The viewing will be from 5:00pm-7:00pm , following the services at 7:00pm. The final resting place for Rosa Mae Jones will be located at Rosehill Cemetery Linden, New jersey.

Rosa Jones departed peacefully on May 10, 2019 after a brief illness at the age of 78.
Ms. Jones was born on January 18, 1941 to the union of the late of Rosa Bell Young Capers and Willie Capers in Georgetown, South Carolina. Her family moved to Brooklyn, NY when she was 4 years old. She attended public school in Bedford Stuyvesant Brooklyn, NY. Rosa then attended Brooklyn High School of Homemaking currently known as Clara Barton. She then attend nursing school where she received her formal education and graduated as an RN. In pursuing her nursing career, she worked at multiple medical facilities, lastly retiring from Coney Island Hospital in Brooklyn, NY where she excelled in her profession as a head nurse.
Rosa truly loved her family, her late husband Walter Jones and her two sons Quran and Andre (who preceded her in death, Andre R.I.P). She also devoted her life to helping people and was a member of The First Baptist Church of Sheepshead Bay in Brooklyn.
Rosa will be missed by her family that she leaves behind to mourn; her sisters: Wilhelmina Farmer, Thelia Fondal, Delores Gomez (Tony), and Tanya Jefferson (Ezell), eight nieces, seven nephews, several grand nieces and nephews. |
