Winston Archer Joseph better known as “Desmond” AKA “JK”, was born on March 24th 1965 on the sunny island of St. Lucia, to Mother Marie Cline and Father Martin Bouty. He was the first son of Marie (now deceased), His siblings from his mother’s side Marilene, Cheryl, Alton, Tyrone and siblings from his father’s side Julieta, Gloria (now deceased), Ziggy and Francis Lord.
Winston grew up in St. Lucia surrounded by family and friends. Winston had a love for cooking and owned a Restaurant. He also worked for Port St. Lucia for many years.
In 1990 he had his first daughter Anika, whom he raised as a single father. Winston then met and married Nester St. Marthe and together they had four children: Winston Benjamin, Esther Shantell, Ruben, Daniel and a stepson Raheen.
In 2005 Winston and His family migrated to the United States to make a better life for him and
His family. Upon settling In New York, Winston obtained his certification as an Electrician and went on to work for Cablevision Company for many years, eventually transitioning to work for Uber.
Winston was a very gregarious and fun-loving person, he enjoyed making people laugh and having a good time. Winston enjoyed spending time with his friends and loved ones, he was a true family man! Winston loved to sing, discuss politics and watch sports, especially basketball! Winston was known for his kindness and willingness to help anyone in need.
Winston is survived by his father Martin Bouty, his wife Nester, his five children: Anika, Winston Benjamin, Esther Shantell, Ruben, Daniel and his stepson Raheen. His siblings, Marilene, Cheryl, Alton, Tyrone, Julieta, Ziggy and Francis Lord. His aunts Geraldine and Judith, his many cousins namely: Mohammed who was like a brother to him, his nieces: Terri, Jessica and Avery, his grandnieces London, Journey and grandnephew Liam, as well as a host of many friends and family too numerous to mention! He will be greatly missed but his memory will live on continually in our hearts!!
