Special Info  Augustine Basile-Lee (affectionately known as Teenie) was born November 9, 1940 in New Iberia, LA to the union of Auguste and Willie Mae Willis-Basile. She was the 1st of three children and the oldest daughter. After a brief battle with illness, she departed this earthly journey and transitioned to her heavenly home on the afternoon of April 26, 2022. She confessed her belief in God at an early age and introduced her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews to Christ. Whenever the children stayed at her home, they knew that going to Church was a REQUIREMENT! She was a faithful member of the Church of God in Christ (New Iberia, LA), the Church of God in Christ (Jamaica, NY) and her current church home, Mission of Hope (Harlem, NY) where she faithfully attended with her grandchildren. She Graduated from Carver High School in Breaux Bridge, LA. Upon graduation from High School, she attended Xavier University in New Orleans, LA. Shortly thereafter she joined the United States Navy specializing in the medical field as a Hospital Coreman. While she was in the Navy she met and married Webster Lee. To this union 5 children were born. She was honorably discharged from the United States Navy after 3 years of service. She later worked in New Orleans as a Nurses aid. She relocated her family from St Martinsville, LA to Jamaica, NY (along with her Mother) to be near her beloved brother, Anthony aka ‘Uncle Brother’. There she attended York College and earned her LPN credentials then ultimately graduated as a Registered Nurse. She went to work for Creedmoor Psychiatric Hospital in Queens, NY as an RN. She went back to school to earn her teaching certificate and retired after more than 20 years of service. Years later she moved to Franklin, LA, shortly thereafter to New Iberia, LA. From Louisiana she moved to Orlando, FL along with her daughter Sonia & family. After the death of her daughter she eventually moved back to New York. Her granddaughter & great-daughters moved with her to care for her. She was preceded in death by her parents; her Sister Alberta; her son Dwayne; daughters Cassandra & Sonja, Grandson Aaron, and several Aunts, Uncles & Cousins. She leaves precious memories with 3 Sons - Ivan Lee (Maretta) of Elk Grove, CA, Webster Lee (Cynthia) of Sacramento, CA and Don Daniels (affectionately known as Raheem) of Arverne, NY ; 1 Daughter – Evelyn of The Bronx, NY; 14 grandchildren - NeKeah, Nefi, Ivan Jr, Ashia, Deaja, Keyvone, Davonta, Estella, Zhane, Mia, Rico, Lemuel, Journey & Harmony; 5 great-grandchildren - Nakeyla, Sirnai, Kamara, Detrevious, Taylor; her Bonus Grandchildren – Taquisha, Clemmia, Betty, Marlonesha, Israel, Aliyah, Carla, Duice & Martha
