Details:

Today we honor the life of our dear sister Vilma Joseph. Everyone who was fortunate to know our sister would know she loved to talk, loved to cook and loved food. She loved Christmas so we always ensured she had her fruit cake and sorrel when visiting her. Losing her speech and being confined to a bed and wheelchair really took away the independence she once had. Nevertheless when visiting her she would always try to talk up a storm even though some days the words were clear or none at all. Vilma, born and grew up in Grenada in 1955 in her early childhood before migrating to Trinidad where she went to school and pursued Shorthand, Typing and Office Practices. Back then Vilma loved reading her favourite Romance Novels Mills and Boons. It seems as though she never missed a novel because she had tons of them. Her favourite cream was Ponds Cold Cream which kept her face very smooth and clear. Vilma loved beautiful clothing. While living in Trinidad she was able to gain her independence and worked as a Domestic Worker for a known Doctor in Valsayn. Vilma migrated to the US in the 90s where she joined her brother Alister and his family. She yet again was able to gain her Independence workig as a Domestic Worker and Baby Nurse before illness struck. Vilma, we know you fought a good fight for all these years. You even broke your hand because of the strong mindset you had trying to put on a pair of shoes knowing fully well you were not able to walk. We can just imagine all those thoughts that came through your mind so many times but your suffering is all over. Vilma, we love you and would miss you dearly. Sleep in perfect peace Sister. Vilma leaves to mourn her (Mother) Louisa Noel, (Aunt) Anastasia (Brothers) Alister, Desmond, Basil and ken(deceased). (Sisters) Valarie, Sharon and Lisa. Many nieces and nephews..

We want to thank everyone who called, sent messages, emails and helped in any way through this time of our Bereavement. We say Thank You...

Special Info  The service for Vilma Joseph is being held at St. Matthews RC church at 1123 Eastern Pkwy, Brooklyn, NY 11213.
