Minnie Matilda Pusey (nee Thorpe), affectionately called "Jay Jay", "Aunt Jay Jay", was born in Kingston, Jamaica on May 5, 1928 to Ida and David Thorpe. On December 19, 2022, at the age of 94, she passed peacefully at home in Brooklyn. Minnie was the sole surviving member of her six (6) siblings.

An accomplished seamstress, she left Jamaica in 1950 for Panama. While there she got married and continued working in her trade. She later relocated to the United States and worked as a care-provider until her retirement.

She was a doting, adoring and loving aunt to all her nieces and nephews and their off springs. She was always fashionable and impeccably dressed and exhibited perfect manners and decorum at all times. She is survived by her twelve (12) nieces and nephews - Norma, Carmen, Beryl, Sylvie, Tootsie, Baby G, Daisy, Dayan, Domingo, Fitzie, Lloyd and Bryan and a host of grand, great grand, great great grand and great great great grand nieces and nephews.

Special Info  The Funeral service of the the late Minnie M. Pusey will be held on Friday, January 6th 2023 at David Williams Funeral home, located on 108-20 Sutphin Blvd. Jamaica Queens, NY, 11435. The viewing begins at 10am follow by the service at 11am. The final disposition for Minnie M. Pusey will be cremation.
