Special Info  Ann Waverly Vaughan affectionately known as Waverly was born to the late Randolph & Ellen Carrington on May 15, 1932, in Sugar Hill, Barbados. Waverly attended Clifton Hill Girls School and received her secondary education at Ms. Lynton School in St. Michaels. As a young lady Waverly studied Cosmetology at The House Craft Center in St. Michaels. To show his support Waverly’s father created a Hair Dressing Salon in Sugar Hill, St. Joseph. In her youth she was known as a stylish dresser, who loved “tall heel shoes” and never had a hair out of place. Prior to moving to the U.S., she was a Hairdresser known for providing the best “Silk Press” and Make-up services in St. Joseph. Waverly was well known for doing the best hair and make-up for special occasions in the surrounding neighborhood. In the late 1960’s she migrated to the United States with her husband and family. While living in the U.S Waverly worked as a Nurses Aid for over 20 years before retiring. Waverly was a woman of faith who loved attending church and worshiping the Lord with all her heart. Waverly loved to sing and dance and enjoyed family dinners with her children and grandchildren weekly. She was a loving mother, aunt, and grandmother whose laughter could brighten any room. On May 25, 2023, God called Waverly home. Waverly was married to Louis Vaughan, and from that union they were blessed with five children: St. Clair, Rudy, Amelia (Terry), Adell (Penny), Ann (Lelian) and special mother to Albert Carrington. She was sister of Athelstan, Selwyn and Fredrick, and also of the late Harold & Jerome Carrington.
