The funeral service for the late Wendy Pittman will be held on Friday, June 23rd 2023 at Frist Baptist Church, located 100-10 Astoria Blvd, NY.

Special Info   Wendy Levy-Pittman was born December 2, 1950 to Dorothy and Leroy Levy. Wendy attended the New York City Public School system, she attended Taft High School in Bronx New York. After high school Wendy believed in working hard. In 1967 Wendy became a candy striper in the hospital, she also worked for the meat wrapping union. Wendy later became a home attendant, she loved taking care of the elderly. In 1989 Wendy began working for Health and Hospital Corporation at Metropolitan Hospital as a nurse aide where she worked for twenty three years before retiring in 2013. On May 4,1972 she married her sweetheart Willard J. Pittman II. This union bought about her youngest baby boy, Willard J. Pittman III. This union last seventeen years before his passing. Wendy excepted the Lord as her savior at the age of twenty five. At Manhattan Holy Tabernacle under the late Dr. Howard Boyce. She later attended Tabernacle of Prayer for all People under the late Apostle Johnnie Lee Washington. After his passing Wendy attended New York Deliverance Gospel Temple under Apostle Ira Davison, she later attended Center of Hope International under Bishop Mitchell G. Taylor where she served with pride and joy. Wendy loved her Pastor and his family, always looking for ways to bless them and other leaders in her church. Wendy believed in blessing people and was always giving advice on helping others get on their feet as she would say. Wendy believed in serving her community, she gave to several shelters clothes, shoes and toys for children. In 1990 Wendy became a foster parent at the Harlem Dowling Westside Center for Children and Family Services, where she bonded with several children helping them to go further in life regardless of their circumstances. On June 5, 2023 Wendy heard a call from glory saying come home daughter to rest in the arms of her heavenly father. She was preceded by her husband Willard J. Pittman II and her youngest son Willard J. Pittman III. She leaves to celebrate her life, her children Judy Levy-Williams and Anthony Levy. Her sister Ruthie English and her nephew Timothy English. Her daughter in law Yamilee (Shearida) Pittman, her daughter in law Takeia Lucas- Levy, and her son in law Bishop Erskine Williams. Her grand children Dwayne Horner, and Larence Horner. Her Great Grand Children Elijah Zabala, Tate Horner, and Tahir Horner. Her foster children Andrew, Antione, Ruben, Champagne, Andre, Anthony, and Whitney. I can hear her now saying; Don’t cry for me, I’m walking around heaven all day.
