Edris Olivia James Brusche Leon
Edris Olivia James Brusche Leon was born Angust 27 th,1950 in Georgetown Guyana,
late parents of Joe Lewis and Clementina James, known as Hectorine. Ms. Levo she was
known as for most of her life in Good-In-Tent village West Bank Demerara. Edris was married in
December 1979 to Clive Brusche (late) after becoming a widow she remarried in October 2004
to Cletus Leon.
Ms Levo took absolute great pleasure in taking care of her children, sisters, brothers,
niecies, nephews and anyone who had to pleasure of being close to her. She had a very
pleasant and outgoing personality and she was very determined and passionate about every
endevor she took in life. (Especially working and completing her family home both in Guyana
and in New York)
Edris was employed by Guyana fishery limited; where she worked for a few years until
that chapter of her life closed. She then began trading between Guyana and Trinidad and
Tobago. Ms Levo did trading until migrating to the USA, where she gained employment with
partners in Care.
In her downtime she enjoyed listening to music, looking at politics and if the elections did
not rule in her favour she would call Sandra Jones Williams and complain for nearly 45 minutes.
She also enjoyed touring around NYC, while shopping and living her best life.
Ms Levo worshipped at Restoration Temple assembly in Brooklyn New York and Calvary
Moravian church whenever she visited Guyana. She had obtained her membership with both
places of worship throughout the years.
On October 4th, 2023 she was admitted to Kings County Hospital, where she spent her
last days surrounded with loved ones before she departed to be with the Lord on October 19th,
2023.
To Cherish her wonderful memories she leaves behind her Children Rosaline Glasgow, Lana
Williams, Junior Brusche. Grandmother of Colleen Daniels, Colin Daniels, Jullicia Gordon, Nikita
George, Candaice Williams, Tokolie Daniels, Kewin George, Sheniqua Brusche, Jeremiah
Brusche, and Keyana Brusche. Great Grandmother to Nathiel Daniels.
Sibling of Lenox James, Clarence James, The late Norma James, late Claudette James and
late Cheryl James. Aunt of Cladius James, Vanessa Sivers( Pinki), Natasha Beaton, Troy
Beaton, Camton James and others. Niece of Burchell Georges, Carlton George, Courtney
George, Euvanie Anthony George, Johnatton George, The Anthony’s, and the Johnson’s
It hurts to say goodbye but we have faith that God is in control. We will certainly
miss her. We will only weep for a while but joy comes in the morning. For our beloved mother,
grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend is at peace. As the good lord is there to
welcome her at heavens gate along side Samuel Williams (aka Samo) her late Son, with a
Crown in his hand to welcome her into heaven.
