Special Info  Julien Fredrick Rouse was born to Felicity and Evans Rouse on June 17, 1935, in the village of Westerhall, St. David’s, Grenada. He was the 5th of 7 children, most of whom have pre-deceased him. Julien was always a quiet individual who was fiercely devoted to his walk with the Lord. He attended the St. Paul’s Government School and the Woburn Methodist School. He and his siblings often had to tend to animals, carry water, and do a multitude of chores, before walking to school and getting there on time. Most of his siblings and mother, migrated to the United Kingdom and Julien took the opportunity to seek a better future. Prior to his departure for the UK, he worked as a Tailor in Grenada. 2 | P a g e Julien worked hard and raised a family with his then wife Geraldine and later migrated to the United States of America. He continued supporting his family with long hours of work as a licensed plumber at Rockefeller University. He also attended Good Tidings Gospel Chapel as his home church for many years. When his wife, Geraldine passed away, he continued to work hard to raise his children as a single father. He later married Muriel Smith on October 16, 1982, also a Grenadian native. He was very active in church activities, including open air meetings, evangelism, and providing transportation for visiting church members. He also attended various assemblies in East Orange New Jersey, Grace Gospel Chapel, Fennimore Street, Hopkinson, Teller Avenue, and many more. He also visited the sick and shut-ins and remained in close contact with his siblings in the UK and Grenada. 3 | P a g e As of May 2023, Julien’s health started failing but he was a strong individual and survived several illnesses, until the Lord called him home on November 21, 2023. He is survived by his wife, Muriel. Children: Ann Marie, Sam, Charles, Lynessa, Stephen, & Junior who is deceased. Brother: Michael Rouse in the UK Several Nieces and Nephews including Denise in the UK, Hannah in Barbados, Carl and Ruth in Grenada. Sister-in-law: Keturah Alexander Brothers-in-law: Herald & Stevenson Smith Grandchildren: Kelly, Kordel, Kayden, Sarah, & Samantha Great grandchildren: Kyrese, Keyan, & Kyrie Many other relatives and friends in Grenada, United Kingdom, the United States of America and elsewhere. May his memory live on and the times he shared with us remain in our hearts forever.
