Special Info  Hi everyone for those of you that don’t know me, I am Brendon Bertho’s youngest child. We are here to share a part of his life with you all. On behalf of my family, we want to take the time to thank each and every one of you for taking their time to pay their respect to the deceased. It is truly appreciated it! Bertho Malan was a lot of things. He was a great father to his children, a wonderful grandfather to his grandchildren, a businessman, and above all a big brother to his siblings. Bertho was the second child of Lucianna Noele and Pierre Malan. His siblings go by the name of Nirva Malan, Sony Malan, and Norla Malan. His extended siblings are Gaby Malan, Ferlo Malan, Gladys Malan, Frenel Malan, and Rito Malan. He had a beautiful life full of memories, and he was surrounded by love. Family was the way to my dad’s heart. He had a beautiful daughter named Berline Anely who is no longer with us, he was later on married to Carmel Silus and had two beautiful children, Flor Malan, and Roodens Anely. He then met my mother and I was born. Bertho was a grandfather of two, Allysha Bebe and Clarissa Anely. He was also a father to all of his nieces and nephews. Bertho was dear to his family and friends. He was one of a kind. It was his sympathy that astounded a lot of people that surrounded him. He would go hungry to feed the poor no Born: 09/24/1963 Death:12/21/2023 Viewing 01/05/2024 Service 01/06/2024 Psalm 73:26 “My flesh and my heart failed, but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion forever” matter who you were, and where you came from. Bertho was a man of all mankind. Bertho went to father of Don Bosco and College of springil. He was a child at heart. He was an excellent soccer player. He played football for Volvo team growing up, and he was known as T-Bertho. A lot of people saw him as a promoter, a business man, but we saw him as our sweet dad, and our protector. Bertho was a calm, respectful, and attentive person. His words were rather short or a nod. His coworkers and friends have known him as a kind, caring and polite human being. Dad you will be truly missed. Your children will have your legacy lives forever. Flor’s favorite and earliest memories of dad, was when he traveled to Haiti, she started smiling, dad was like “Do you know who that is” she answered “you are my dad”, dad hugged her, and smirked. Dad will leave for work, call me every minute to make sure I eat, and comfortable. Dad was always a phone call away; I wish I had been there for him when he needed me the most. My favorite memory of Dad was last Christmas Eve when we got to celebrate at Bentleys in Brooklyn. I believe that was the moment when my dad realized the man I had become. It was great seeing my dad in his element and being able to experience that first hand. I don’t know how long it will take us to grieve this tremendous loss, but we are grateful to have had as much time with my father. Dad is our hero; we could have not done half of what he did. Dad was the strongest person we ever knew. Now that he is at peace, may he live in our memory and his loved ones forever.
