Special Info |
Fortitude, courage, determination, and trailblazer—these are just a few of the words that describe the
remarkable man we all knew and loved as Irvine Collins. At the age of sixteen, he left his home in
Grenada and journeyed to St. Croix in search of a new and better life. His heart was filled with dreams
and a promise: to one day return home, but not before providing his mother and siblings the opportunity to
enjoy the life they deserved. He also vowed to himself that he would buy land and eventually marry the
love of his life, Angelina.
In St. Croix, Irvine gained the knowledge, skills, and experience needed to pursue his goals. From there,
he traveled to America, where he secured his first job working at an oil refinery in Texas. He learned how
to fix pipes and read blueprints, becoming a skilled pipefitter. His expertise took him to many states, and
he excelled in his field, earning promotions to foreman positions at reputable companies such as Brown &
Root, S&B, Shell, Mobil, Exxon, and JE Merit, to name a few.
Irvine was a man of big dreams and unwavering determination, always striving to turn his aspirations into
reality. While he loved his work, the time eventually came for him to retire. After dedicating more than
three decades to working for others, he embraced a new chapter in life: entrepreneurship.
Returning full circle to Grenada, Irvine focused on building an apartment complex and a bakery. He
became an employer to many and a philanthropist, giving back to his community whenever and wherever
he could. He had a heart as big as his dreams and never hesitated to help those in need.
Irvine Collins was a man of action, vision, and generosity, and his legacy will live on. He will be deeply
missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Irvine Collins was the son of Catherine Goldina Bubb and Neville Collins.
He is survived by his wife, Angelina Collins, and his two sons, Reginald and Joshua Collins, who stood by
him tirelessly throughout his illness. Irvine passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2024, with his wife and
sons by his side.

survived by his mother, Catherine Goldina Bubb; his beloved grandchildren, Kaleb, Morgan, and Malia
Collins.
He leaves behind to mourn his siblings: Francis, Albert, Norbert, Robert, Alorna, Elizabeth, Mary
(Sandra), and Louis Bubb, as well as his brothers Danny, Cyril, and Anslem, who reside in England. He is
also survived by his stepsister, Nafia.

Bernice Humphrey; his godmother; and Gellineau James, his godfather, in Grenada, the Bubb family, the
Humphrey family, the Gittens family, the Farray family, the St. Paul family, the Edmund family.
